I was looking for a pallet cleanser with this book… you know what I mean? Something fun and lighthearted between intense books. Whelp, I got more than I bargained for with this one and I couldn’t be happier about it!

It’s fun, it’s sweet, it’s surprisingly heart-wrenching, and I am here for all of it! I LOVE THIS TROPE. It starts with a wrong number text and how Bastone goes about it makes it delightfully believable. The characters she builds are simply amazing. I want to wax poetry about how unexpectedly dimensional they are, but we would be here all day and it would definitely have spoilers. So, just take my word for it—they are great!
It’s not often a book pulls tears out of me but, when it does, I love the book that much more for it. It pulled at my heartstrings!
