Adult Unplugged Book Box (Feb.)

Overall Rating: ★★★ 1/2

Value: 4 Stars

I really like this box when it comes to items of use vs cost. Though, I still get a little twitchy when it comes to the amount of shipping cost sense it is not considered part of the value of the box. But, I digress—since this is the same for almost all book boxes.

The Book: 3 stars

I am excited about the book included in this month’s box, The Mask of Mirrors! It is beautiful and HUGE! It also came with a gorgeous signed bookplate that matches the cover. It is so pretty, I am tempted to frame the bookplate and not put it in the book. So, why did it get three stars? The main reason is because it is a paper back. Part of the excitement of any book box is seeing what is special about the book. Be it signed, stenciled, or have some sort of sprayed edges. The fact that it is a plain paperback takes away a lot of value for me from the box as a whole.

Usable/likable items: 4 stars

I may not love any of the items in the box, but I do like them all. Which I find as a win. My favorite item is the bath & shower gel. It smells soo good! My least favorite item would be (as usual) the pin. I still don’t get it. What do I do with it?!?! There was also a fun tote bag that I think will be a big hit. While it is nice and zips closed, it is a little plain for my taste and I don’t see myself using it.

Overall, I liked the box and I am looking forward to getting the YA and Winter Boxes later this month!
